These were taken at a logging site down the road from my house on October 22, 2007.

I recorded this huge fire at 24Bit/96K with a Sound Devices 702 recorder and a Sanken CSS-5 stereo shotgun microphone. The pictures don't even come close to showing how big these wood-slash piles were and how hot they were burning! I had to keep moving back away from the fire becasue I was worried that my microphone was going to melt and my face was getting "fire burned"
